Internship Seminar: Bridging Theory and Practice
The Internship Seminar
helps you make the most of your internship experience. You and your peers will evaluate and compare your individual internship experiences, explore career opportunities, and gain further knowledge about functioning in a professional environment.
In this course
WII faculty members encourage you to test and enhance your academic, professional, personal and cultural goals. You develop a Professional Plan which outlines your goals for the internship experience and guides your overall progress. At the end of the course, you will combine your Professional Plan, a reflective essay, and examples of your professional work to create your own professional portfolio.
The Internship Seminar
also assists you in making the transition from campus to career by covering such topics as: ethics in the work place, resume writing and interviewing, and future planning.
