Announce an Internship

If you would like to host WII students, please send your internship description(s) to info@wiidc.org

Program Facts

  • Our students intern four full days per week for 15 weeks in the fall and spring and 10 weeks in the summer.  One day per week, they take classes.

  • Most of WII’s students are juniors and seniors in college.  We also work with recent graduates and the occasional sophomore or graduate student.

  • WII does not charge organizations a fee for hosting an intern.  Your organization decides whether the internship will be paid or unpaid.

Internship Criteria

  • Substantive responsibilities are essential, since most students receive college credit.  No more than 20% of the intern’s time should be spent on clerical work.

  • Locations that are easily accessible via public transportation are strongly preferred.

  • Workspace in your office is required, i.e. we do not arrange telecommuting internships.
